This protection is a protective measure to prevent the increase of dry burning. There are two ways to use it: one is to use a one-way check valve, and the other is to use a U-shaped anti backflow device.
A one-way check valve is installed at the water inlet and uses a piston to control the inlet and outlet of water. When water enters, the piston opens. When the tap water stops, the piston loses the pressure of the inlet water and closes the valve under the pressure of the water in the inner tank, thereby preventing water from flowing back.
The inverted "U" - shaped device is to make the inlet pipe part into an inverted "U" - shaped shape, with the top flush with the top of the inner liner. This way, when the water is stopped, there is no pressure difference inside the "U" - shaped pipe, and the water in the inner liner will not flow back.
The inner liner, inlet and outlet pipes, and outer shell of an electric water heater are generally made of metal, and tap water is also conductive. However, when the water heater leaks electricity, all metal components will also be electrified. Therefore, all of the above metal components must be reliably grounded, and the contact resistance must be less than 0.1 ohms.
